Around 8pm last night traveling north on the turnpike around Cranbury, there was a row of 6 buses all in the left lane with cop cars with lights on (on the bus/trucks/car side of 95, obviously). They were going the speed limit in the LEFT lane, really tying up the flow of traffic horribly. I eventually caught up to them. One cop car brought up the rear, then 6 "Academy" buses, then 3 cop cars in front all with full lights going, at least one of which was a state trooper.

Who the heck, in 6 buses, would need that much of a police escort? And why in the left lane and not the right?

Wow, with police escorts? They were Academy buses so maybe that was it.

Believe it or not, these athletes make more money than burn it for the college. The college has it right. Protect the cash cow.

Actually, they're probably generating enough revenue to cover this themselves.

I personally dislike sports in high school and college. I am also aware it's extremely profitable.
