Does anyone have experience replacing a heating oil tank? Mine is above ground but outside but I want to replace it with a new one that is installed in my garage. Just looking for costs and if there are any companies that are recommended. I am in hunterdon county.

How big is your garage? I cannot imagine wanting to waste that space on an oil tank.

2 car garage but there is an extension sort of cut out on the side that is perfect for the tank.

I was quoted $4,000 last year to remove the oil tank in my crawlspace and get a new one installed. I ended up just converting to gas.

I’m in Lebanon Borough and had a tank removed when I went to gas and was a bit painful getting rid of the old one, contractor was very un prepared, then had to have a inspector sign off, plenty of tank contractors around but do your home work, my contractor not worth mentioning, good luck

We paid 4300 in Sussex county last spring. We had our old tank removed from our garage and replaced with a Roth tank.

Th Roth tanks are excellent quality. Installed one 16 years ago.

Did you check what the cost of nat gas ( or even heat pump) conversion is? There are also a bunch of state and federal rebates that would lower the cost.
