I went last year and I would never go again. I was more annoyed with the bumper to bumper traffic to just see the lights more than anything.

Have not been this year. Remember, it gets worse as you approach Christmas but does decrease a little afterwards.

I went last year and was dangerously close to peeing my pants. I think we sat in traffic for 90 minutes before even getting to the part where the lights start. Would never go back.

I went last week on Monday evening (around 630pm) and there was absolutely no line! I also went during the week last year and didn’t have to wait. If you can avoid the weekend, the lines will certainly be shorter.

Earlier in the month is also better, it typically gets significantly more crowded the closer it gets to Christmas.
