China would never. They want NK there to act as a buffer between them and other countries they aren’t friendly with (namely South Korea). If they took out Jong-Un, they’d open the country up to getting friendly with enemy states and would have to worry about places like the US being right along their border.

Seriously, what is up with these downvotes?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_nuclear_disaster

This is just a real thing that happened. It’s not even political…. I think. Are people not reading the 10 years part and just assuming it’s some jab about the bombs?

imgladimnothim t1_jdhwo81 wrote

Maybe because that wasn't really a radioactive tsunami, so much as a tsunami that caused a radioactive incident? That'd be pretty pedantic though

Riff316 t1_jdhx9qg wrote

Then radioactive water did leak into the ocean though. Surely according to the historic ruling of US v. Sharknado, that must count, right?

A radioactive tsunami is what occurs when that fat dirty fuck Kim Jong Un jumps into the ocean

People keep forgetting that North Korea does nothing of this sort without China's express approval. It may actually be a Chinese device being tested. This allows China to play both sides. First they create the crisis by having NK perform a test, then they get credit for pulling things back from the brink.

Reminds me of when MacArthur wanted to lay a sea of radioactive cobalt across North Korea to push back the Chinese.

>”You may ask what would have prevented the enemy’s reinforcements massing and crossing the Yalu in great strength, as they had before. It was my plan as our amphibious forces moved South to spread behind us—from the Sea of Japan to the Yellow Sea—a belt of radioactive cobalt. It could have been spread from wagons, carts, trucks and planes. It is not an expensive material.

Lob something and assure their absolute extinction? No one’s worried about them hitting the US, or South Korea, or Japan. That happens, NK will cease to exist.

And then we have millions of refugees that have been frozen in time since 1955 that are malnourished, diseased and brainwashed into hating the west, and I doubt China or Russia are going to take them in and house them.

Sure it'd be over in hours to days at most but if Iraq>Afghanistan>Iraq taught us anything it's that when you kill an entire generation of people the next probably aren't likely to be that stable.
