Eastern Pacific basin - Hurricane
Western Pacific basin - Typhoon

Why do they have two different names?
chetlin t1_itf5oza wrote
They're just traditional names that different regions gave the same kind of storm. The most generic term is "tropical cyclone".

Tell her someone from Louisiana said Fuck that hurricane too, hurricanes are the glory hole mother nature forces on humans. Its wet, messy, and in the end everyone's leaving feeling a little worse than they did before.
