Unfortunately, they are permanent members. Though Ukraine has questioned this since technically it was the USSR that was the member not Russian Federation.
I'm not saying I disagree but I guess that's why they haven't been booted.

Who's to stop the UN if they just lock the doors or physically remove Russians from attendance?
It's not like there's a single law, or law enforcement agency that says the UN has to stay exactly the way it is now

That would basically give the UN even less legitimacy than it has already if it reneged on its founding structure.

You think the un could be less legitimate? China and Russia are unironically on the security council. Was it Iran or Saudi Arabia who got put in charge of a women's rights council?
If the UN was supposed to prevent wars, it has failed. What's there to lose?

Well, if we agreed that russia is a permanent member then I guess we should honour that. Its not like Russia ever welches on a deal.
