Yeah, I'm sad to see him go, but it really seems like it was the right decision.

Best way to go. He lived a great life. Used up the body, than got a gentle send off. Way to go big guy.

Noooooooo! Long ago, I was hiking through Griffith Park when the biggest fucking house cat I ever did see ran across the trail not ten feet in front of me, just as i was about to round the top of Mt. Hollywood. The park ranger said it was most likely this guy. It was hard to imagine that such an amazing beast of a cat could just be wandering around the park outside of my old apartment complex. Years later, one of the money bags that owns the houses around Griffith Park ended up finding P22 in his basement. He's LA "royalty" like Anegline or Dennis Woodruff, if anybody recalls that guy.

Normally that would occur. However P22 was captured after attacking multiple pets. That is what led to this medical checkup which revealed major issues. P22 was not going to be allowed back into the wild and was going to either be euthanized or sent to a sanctuary.

Euthanasia would seem an easier death than a natural one.
