At least it was the practice waiting room and not the actual one.

Right? Good thing the general practitioner had a practice waiting room

Out of curiosity, I wonder how long past his appointment time it was.

According to the article, he wanted to order medication through reception and was told he needed to go through the actual ordering process instead of demanding pills from the first person he saw. He didn't get take that well.

Based just on that, I’m gonna guess his medication is something derived from the poppy plant that makes you mean if you don’t get it immediately

Not excusing this behaviour in any way, but GP practices can be infuriating with their rules. Recently I was in the waiting room when another patient asked the receptionists (of which there seem to be about five) for a repeat prescription. They said they couldn't deal with it in person and she'd have to phone. So she stood in front of the reception desk and phoned the surgery to speak to the receptionist who was sitting in front of her.

Apparently he just wanted to do a repeat prescription.

Which puzzles me since my GP just has "Call after 10:00" for them, though you might get caught in the phone queue for people wanting repeat sick notes as well.

Everyone knows if the doctor is more than 10 minutes late you can vandalize their property and assault their staff.

Duh

At least he took out his anger on the room and not the people.

Now he's gonna have to find himself a lawyer and a new doctor

This is like one of those unprecedented Storm of the Century photos when Britain has a bit of wind.
