that’s my theory. as cruel as it was, i think it was ultimately done out of necessity not pure evil. That being said, im surprised he was able to be killed.

based on the speed of gestation, the daughter could have developed fully extremely rapidly. and based on other deep sea fish like the anglerfish, the female might be a LOT bigger
