We don’t know that, Rule 5 was partially scratched out maybe he encountered whatever it was mentioning and that was the broken rule?

I am pretty sure i broke rule 4. I reacted to that spider thing in the window by screaming. Should have just ignored it... But still, my father, he also had spiders entering the cabin, so maybe he broke a rule?
