Oh man. Lol. The first few entries were almost identical to my little marbled psych journal. I was in for 10 days this February. It was messed up, I was fine after a day in 2. But they had a "minimum" 7-10 day stay. π they just wanted my insurance money I guess. Keep us updated if you go back!!!!

Thank you. It was honestly pretty traumatic & detrimental to my mental health being there that long. I was angry & cussed at the doctors so they put me in the unit with the violent schizophrenic even tho I'm not schizophrenic. Not violent either I was having a reaction to meds that made me irate & I was also not happy about the IVC. It's been a month or so. I'm trying to heal from it. Thanks for asking
Edit to add: but BOY do I have some stories from that unit. From the guy who believed he was God himself, the woman I hung out with that insisted we pray for the souks of the possessed patients, the fiat fights, it goes on and on π

Also had a shit experience in a psych ward. The staff were soulless and treated us like burdens. Horrible stuff.

I relate. My experience was traumatic too and being held longer than needed was agonizing. It certainly gave me some stories though.

same, I was on a 72-hour hold. they arenβt supposed to be allowed to force you to stay longer than that (in my region, under those circumstances). they held me for 5 days, after I already had spent 2-3 days in the hospital. guess they decided I needed more medical abuse :/
