Think David should be taking the L here. Even from the damn start he didn't like that his mother hadn't 'grown out of her goth stage'. Yet she had been nothing but caring and doting, right to the last. That alone didn't exactly endear me to wee David, because I just wonder at the mindset that wishes for a "normal" parent, when plenty of parents can be "normal" on the surface and true, cruel monsters beneath, to their own kin. The abnormal thing is not to accept little quirks when your parent is largely good.

Not saying that he should choose to be a vampire, that part is quite clearly his choice to make. But maybe grow up a little and be a bit nice to your damn mum for fuck's sake.
