I doubt the candles grant wishes, especially in any way you would want them to. The closest might be a monkey's paw scenario. And suspecting Richard of hogging wishes sounds more like paranoia. I don't think you owe Keith a second chance at your expense- he would have gotten the rules, same as you and every other employee. His death was horrible, but it wasn't your fault, regardless of Tall Ben trying to make you think it was.
