Eh, not always the right reaction. Follow your gut, some creatures might be angered by you trying to run. Staying hidden, fighting, running, just freezing, intimidating the creature, ... might all be better tactics to stay alive

If you can run, run. You don't know the creature or if you have the strength to fight it or intimidate it. Hiding would work but I would still try to get some distance.

Oh you were specifically talking about this one? Yeah I agree, wouldn't try to fight it but from what I have in my head (and based on how fast tiny crabs and spiders can be) I would still not run but always hide. Don't think you're gonna outrun it and you might make noise alerting it to your presence. I would only run if you're absolutely sure that you can outrun it and that the creature won't be outraged enough (which is a risk with certain supernatural creatures, bitches get easily offended) to keep following you without a line of sight
