What kind of batteries? Alkaline? Or rechargeable? Asking cause I literally have a bag of alkaline batteries idk how to get rid of

I thought I remembered that time Best Buy had a receptacle for used batteries for electronics near the entrance.

I'll check again. It's been a few years but last time I went they told me they didn't take single use alkaline batteries and they also don't specify on their website

They have to accept all batteries and small household eWaste. Car batteries you can drop them up at Walmart or AutoZone for a 20$ core refund.
