Genuinely, why does 191st constantly get filled with trash and used syringes, and 190th stay so clean (leaking groundwater aside). Is it the station managers? Is it that 190th is sloped? Is the 1 train just cursed? I seriously don't get it

190 is in view of the booth. Police will be called quickly if MTA notices the homeless or vandals in tunnel.

Also in a better part of the neighborhood though nearby. Being West of Broadway makes a huge difference.

They want simple stencil art with no more than four colorsšŸ¤®

Was better with more than one style and organic development. All the colors and chaos. No top down gatekeeper-chosen art please!

Let the community paint it stop hiring professional artists because it's only going to be taken over by graffiti from individuals anyway. I thought it was beautiful before they painted it over personally reminded me of a smaller 5 pointzs

This is the stupidest thing Iā€™ve seen today. If itā€™s repainted itā€™s just gonna go right back to how it was before ya decided to go over it with white paint now ya looking for ā€œsomeoneā€ last I remember it took about two big groups to even try this tunnel

King Bee does real nice murals. I've seen a few around in the Bronx.

I've been a fan of his work since forever. I met him working on 174th on the B and D line.

Hire a cleaning crew and a cop here and there to take care of all the whateverheads (crack is rare now) and itā€™ll be fine, New York is turning into LA without the nice weather

Not even close IMO. Is true that there are more druggies in the East coast from DC to Boston now , specially post pandemic . But I donā€™t think is even close to anywhere in the west coast like LA, SF, Seattle , etc
