So the city now refers to monkeypox as "MPV", even though that is already a commonly-used medical acronym for mean platelet volume (blood testing).

I’m sure everyone is going to continue calling it monkeypox, requiring the city to have to put “(aka monkeypox)” whenever they say “MPV” or else no one will know what they are talking about.
