$4450 for 2 beds would be dirt cheap here in midtown. People pay more for studios and one beds.

My 1 conv 2 (~1000 sq ft) is $5047 a month in mid-town east. It's a doorman building, but it was built in the 1980's, and doesn't really have any high end luxuries.

My goodness! What type of work do you do in order to be able to pay that kind of rent?

Niiice. Question? Did you start as a teller & work your way up to Director?

No. I was a management consultant first.

Where? In BK you can find 2bd/2ba between 1800 and 2500 easily

Not in any "desirable" neighborhood. Even if you do Prolly no W/D, DW, or any amenities.

Unfortunately when gas is shut off it can take weeks even when fixed for inspections and turn on to happen due to the bureaucracy so nobody is left with responsibility should something happen. Everyone but the president of the US needs to sign off that that work is done and up to code.

Yet another luxury building in the outer boroughs, smh. Sadly experiencing some of the slumlord treatment many others in Greenpoint receive.

Oh that’s my friends place in Greenpoint. This is more typical in subsidized housing.

The roof will leak eventually like any other boxy, flat roof building. If it isn't bad enough to catch the attention of the Fire Dept or Inspections, then they will find out quickly their worth with the owner/landlord/rental co.

Well ya can't see heat and gas from unit listings on street easy. And the agent can say it's turned off since the unit is vacant! Just sign that lease and it'll be alright. Instagram ready.

This is heartwarming. You can't hear the yelling of near-well-off, regret. Ouch! Who needs to be late for work having tripped over a pot of boiling water after the electric heater caught fire under the, too close blanket. Nature has vengeance and indifference. Remember that!
