My mom told me this weekend that my grandmother used to work at the Whitman factory which was news to me because I thought she just worked at Clover Mills and the Foodarama.

My mom said she used to bring home the reject chocolates all the time and it was awesome lol.

I googled and it seems like there were a few throughout Philadelphia but I can’t find the address of where the Northeast one was.

It was at Grant & the Boulevard, where Walmart & Lowes is now.

They named that shopping center Whitman Square after the factory.

My great grandpop worked there, my uncle told me he would bring chocolate home every day for the grandkids and it explains why my mom and uncles are so fat

The official Whitman's HQ was on the Roosevelt Boulevard above Red Lion Rd, on the northbound side, just shy of Haldeman Ave.

My cousin worked there and brought us the cardboard colored reject boxes of candy too. Mmmmm!
