None of those are PPA's job. PPA is doing PPA's job. Stop whining.

I mean...depends what parking rule you violated. No parking zone sure, cut some slack. In front of a fire hydrant? Yea...ticket. Either way try not to park like a dh and you'll be fine

Ah yes, because in order to deal with major quality of life issues, we must suspend enforcement of parking violations.

You were in a f**king tow away zone! They did cut you slack by not hauling your car away. Illegal parking is a major QOL issue that exacerbates traffic and inhibits pedestrian movement, especially for the disabled.
PurpleWhiteOut t1_jeahnck wrote
Yeah TAZ = tow away zone, so going to guess this is a safety related violation, so OP is lucky their car was still there tbh

They were nice and gave you a whole 30mins worth of leeway while you were parked in a tow away zone.

LOL parked in a tow away zone for at least a half hour and you're upset you got a ticket?
SaltPepperKetchup215 t1_jeakegm wrote
Most cars parked in tow away zones (typical safety reason) are usually there still at 7am when morning commutes to school and work happen. I’m sure you’ll delete this post.
Edit: I especially like all the parking ticket posts that cut out 95% of the information on the ticket. Classic.

110%. Always cars parked in the left turn lane at 16th and Oregon well into the morning, way past any “parking limited” time.
Philadel_J t1_jeaqlen wrote
The city can certainly put more emphasis on those problems while still enforcing parking violations. Take responsibility for your foolishness

So… you were in a tow away zone for over 30m? Man, they did you a serious solid by just not towing you.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, friend.
blue-and-bluer t1_jeavo2t wrote
Right? OP should be thankful they were so kind.
solipsisticsundays t1_jeavun4 wrote
You’re right. They should have just towed you.

IT WAS NOT A TOW AWAY ZONE!!! I did not park in a tow away zone.

Your ticket says otherwise.

So you parked in a tow away zone (which applies 24/7) and you're mad you got a ticket?

I’m confused….do you think there is a No PPA time?
Edit: the police are allowed to ticket you for major eff ups as well. May not have been PPA.

So if you had posted “I gotta ticket for parking in a towaway zone when I was legally parked!” that would have been one thing. We all probably would have rallied to your cause. But what you ACTUALLY wrote was “I got caught out breaking the law during the time I apparently thought were law-free hours boo hoo me,” and sorry… that isn’t gonna fly. Big difference between those two posts… and it kinda makes it smell like bullshit that you’re now claiming it was actually legal!

Do you really expect the PPA to fight crime? You didn't follow the parking rules and got fined.
Also if you're a resident of that area, get a parking permit.
