The City process worked for our block. Zero ass snacks required.

The process did lead to a couple of pleasant email exchanges with an "Engineering Specialist" in the Traffic Engineering Division.

... or did you have your heart set on eating ass as part of the request?

This is more about ass, isn't it.

Carry on.

Two seems to be about the unwritten limit in Philadelphia.

I'm on the corner and we have only one. And that one sign is partially blocked by a big ass pole not two feet away from the pole the signs are on. The other pole serves absolutely no purpose other than to block the view of the one sign. It's all very Philadelphia..

I hate when pedestrians can't see what street they're about to cross because the signs are all facing drivers.

I'd rather see every intersection get one sign for each cross street before we start worrying about having one set per corner. Sometimes I can walk for 2 or 3 blocks without seeing a single street sign at any intersection.

I just want cars to stop at the ones that exist. Especially when there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk…

my sister, who's not the greatest at understanding distances, was visiting me and walking the dog, left her phone and missed my street coming the other way. after like an hour i had to go out to look for her and she had at least turned back around, but i found her like six blocks away

True. And wtf is with Google Maps not ALWAYS showing the streets. Like you have to zoom out far to see the names of cross streets.

You can eat mine and it’ll probably have the same likelihood of making it happen as anyone at city hall

As a former dog walker, I feel this. I would often have to use my phone’s map to find my way back to the pup’s home because of the lack of signs. And having my head buried in my phone is NOT something I want to do walking around the city.

Mark Squilla, but you had to start in 1998 and your name needs to end in a vowel. It also helps if you live in south jersey.

Steal them and then return them to the opposing corners when they are replaced.

real question, whose ass do I gotta eat to make the SEPTA bus and trolley signs bigger? maybe its just bc I'm used to MTA's signage but I have to look at a corner for a full minute before I find the bus stops in most places lmao
