It’s such a great place to go…. I hope the city doesn’t let it completely fall apart but I haven’t seen any improvement- only the path where trees have fallen… it would be so nice to have a working restroom but it would be destroyed

Approximate location / mile post?

It’s about a mile down from the Pine road entrance. They just fixed a patch of the bike path there but you can’t see it because of all the leaves. A few trees came down over the summer. It looked like this though just about everywhere we walked yesterday .

Thanks. I walk it frequently. They have replaced some but not all of the boards in the first bridge on the path going east from Pine. In the past they have had a vehicle with air blowers clear the path of leaves but it hasn’t happened yet this year. They get slippery when wet so I hope it happens soon. You’re right about the restroom; there’s a single port a potty in the Pine Rd. parking lot but none other between there and Winchester - over 3.5 miles away.

I walked my dog down there every day in the summer. We stopped going every day in late August because by the time I got off work it would just get too dark. So now we go on my days off . Every time we go there , the landscape changes. Wether it be some wild flower or weed blooming, it’s just a beautiful place. My dog loves the chipmunks . I love watching the ducks.

That’s why it’s nice to be retired. It doesn’t pay much but you’re your own boss and you set your own hours.
