I was on the subway and everyones all went off at the same time. It was kinda wild watching everyone groggily scramble to turn off that awful sound.

It's not the same one, and I don't think you can turn them off because they're automated by your data carrier

You can turn off Amber Alerts. The only alerts you cannot turn off are National Alerts.
