In previous years I would shop for books for holiday gifts at Joseph Fox bookstore near Rittenhouse Square. They closed in early 2022.

Can people suggest other bookstores in Philadelphia where someone into books can shop?

I am aware of Penn's bookstore, along with Barnes & Noble on Rittenhouse Square.

Book Trader, Book Corner and Philly Aids Thrift are my personal favorites.

Same here. There's a Novel Idea on Passyunk Avenue but that's in South Philly. The Book Trader is by Independence Mall and has a really good selection. Mostly Books is another good one near Queen's Village.
