McSorelys is McGillians brother bar. I think it’s the oldest operating bar in the us. A hilarious place that I frequent as much as possible.
But, as nonidentifiableuser said…nyc is exponentially larger than Philly. There’s literally 100’s of mcgillians. Back the deetz train up and I’ll see what I can come up with

I've been to McSorleys. They only have two beers, I don't think they have a TV either. It's got some similarities but I wouldn't say it's a twin of Mcgillins.

Not a twin. They just consider themselves brother/sister. There is a picture of McGillins in McSorelys and I asked about it.
The two beer thing is part of the hilarity imo.
But as an example; the perfect pint, Connollys, jimmys corner, long acre bar are all like mcgillins and all in a two block radius between 6th and 7th ave near 45th st. Help us narrow it down. You want neighborhood type stuff? You taking the train into Penn? How far you willing to walk/subway etc

Yeah near Penn Station sounds perfect.

The perfect pint and Connollys are a few blocks north and a block or so east of Penn. it’s where we used to go before shows at msg or Nokia/Best Buy/whatever it is now theater.
Rudy’s is probably 10 blocks north and a block west of Penn. An iconic dive bar.
