Just venting here.
I work in a somewhat specialized industry and I've been looking for a new job in the area for a bit now and I can't count the amount of times that the description said it was located in Philadelphia when in actuality it's in Downingtown, Horsham, or King of Prussia. Those are commutes that are easily over an hour during rush hour from the city and I'm simply not willing to spend 20 hours of my week sitting in traffic on 76 for the wages that are being offered.
I moved to the city so I could live within close proximity to the things that I need and spend as little time in my car as possible. It's so annoying that even though my job could be done in its entirety from my apartment, I'm still being pushed to spend time and money driving to these far away suburbs to do it. At the very least these job postings should just mention that upfront so I don't have to waste mine and their time doing an interview.
