Should have said fuck you to the cops and forced them to relocate. Kenney is a bitch. Then sold the land surrounding it for multi family development and limited parking. Tell the cops to ride the subway to work and to court. Instant more police presence on the trains. Give 'em free passes.

It's being put to far better use now. Cops are fine at the Inky building, even if they have to "suffer" with windowless offices.

Fuck that, they're only using 3 floors of the building and the rest is sitting empty.

I assume you mean Provident. Give it time; it'll fill up.

Why are you trying to shove the police into a building that's not a police station not in center City to make Inga saffron happy??? The city didn't even own the building and it's not designed to be a police station

Well, the Inquirer building wasn’t designed to be a police station, either, yet now it is. Also, the city did purchase the building in 2008, only to sell it in 2020.

Yeah the city was sort of pressured to purchase it. Why don't you live in a gas station it's almost like you have to design buildings for their actual purpose.

I see what you’re saying. I recommend reading up on adaptive reuse to see how one can retrofit a building to meet new requirements. There are plenty of examples in the city, such as the music venue Union Transfer once being a baggage storage facility for the Reading Railroad, the Pennsylvania Convention Center being located in the former Reading Terminal railway station, or the former West Philadelphia High School building being converted into apartments.

High Schools to apartments are actually easy. Malls to office space a dream. It's commercial spaces going to residential. Like a church sucks as a condo setup. Visually stunning. Impossible to climate control and plumb.
