It's every single post so it's not sometimes. I feel like millhouse playing fallout boy. Again and again... And again and again and again.

Downvote and move on. Openly whining about it is likely to just make people troll you.

Oh I don't care about people trying to troll me lol. It's Reddit. This shit is more made up then whose line is it anyway and the points mean even less on Reddit.

Are the lights as clearly visible to the naked eye? Such photos always fill me with awe but I'm half afraid they only look so cool because of some fancy camera tricks

I've had decent Northern Lights shots with the same lens.
How did you keep the camera steady for a 30 s exposure? Must have been challenging on a plane?

wedged my mini tripod between the seats in front (no passengers in front)

I remember flying in the middle of the Russian mountains on the way to India looking outside and seeing a tiny bit of the lights in the distance and being blown away. Canβt imagine how you felt seeing it right in front of you.

Obviously this was an overnight flight, so the window shades would normally be closed. How did you know to look? Did the pilots make an announcement (seems unlikely?) or did you just set an alarm to remind you to sneak a peek when you were pretty far north?

I love staring out the window.. . the crew don't seem to mind if its dark outside - on mornings they get pissed because the light wakes others
