Do you know when and where he served? I have a similar picture of my great-great grandpa who was deployed to the Philippines during the Spanish-American War.

My Great Grandpa came from Hungary and and later moved to Yugoslavia. So I think he probably served in one of these two.

The badge / medal on the right is red/white cloth black medal, and if I remember correctly it’s for a lengthy time on “the front” can’t remember if it’s 12-18 months. I’ve had one in my collection and recognized it.

Don’t know about the other two. I’ll go through my extensive photo archive’s to find the one I had. If you zoom into the top of the cross you’ll see two spots (iirc) it’s two crowns. eBay is a good place to search.
