I have moved them as well since they've made it difficult to back out of my driveway. They make a loud, annoying sound for a brief period of time.

I live in St. Louis and we have similar. Cops aren't coming when somebody takes a Kia, I can't imagine they are coming when I move a scooter out of my way.

How far do you have to move them before they make noise? I've moved one from the middle of a car sized parking spot without issue in the past. But really it was only like a foot or two (i.e. onto the sidewalk).
