Parking garages usually have pretty decent security. If you see this, go straight to the security counter. They will have somebody onsite 24/7.

Maybe so, but when you've had a vehicle stolen in broad daylight 20 feet from the parking garage's security office, this statement kind of falls flat.

I have a reasonable expectation that when I park my car in a high density parking structure and pay for the privilege that I won't have to deal with that shit.
