What are you looking for in a venue?

I've been to many weddings at The Fez up in Hopewell. It's fine, food is OK, your typical "and now time for the chicken dance" kind of place.
Was in a wedding at The Lamont (for the view) and I thought the food was the best I've had at a wedding. Being in the wedding party and served first may have had something to do with that.
Hartford Acres is a popular one to the north, but there's been some hubub about neighbors getting nasty about noise issues (reception going past 10, neighbors retaliating and showing up etc).
I can honestly say I've never been to a formal wedding reception that I was like "wow" to. Other than "you spent how much for a 5 hour party?!". I got married up on Lake Erie, had a cookout afterwards, and those drinking pitched tents. To each their own, good luck and congrats
