Go for the LA Galbi it's always the best intro for most people not well versed in Korean food. Below paragraphs are unrelated to the post...

There's really no legit ones here in Pittsburgh. Cobra is the closest but honestly for the price is a literal highway robbery.

As for items, galbi especially the marinated variety is best IMO. Samgyupsal and beef brisket slices (both not flavored) are usually staples. Plus points if you can eat and enjoy intestine (gopchang).
