The first mass-produced coffee syrup was introduced by the Silmo Packing Company of New Bedford, Massachusetts, in 1932.
It was the BEST. Autocrat comes close, but when you grew up on Silmo you KNOW.
They stopped making it over 20 years ago, but now it's back baby!
As a true Rhode Islander, you have to accept the fact that Silmo was the OG.
If you can't tell, I'm hyped to get some Silmo again and see if it hits all the nostalgia buttons :)
