Csn you talk to him and see what’s up? I mean If he doesn’t understand what he’s doing it’s a learning experience if he does and is like “nah I’m good” then why would you want to be friends with someone who does this?

I did have a talk with him about this and I think he took it well, but I'm not positive about what "taking it well" would look like in a situation like this. I'm just worried because a lot of the women in my life already disliked him, and Maya told me that multiple women had experiences like Ellie's. Might be a bigger pattern than just a learning experience.

Your friend is a problem and people are making you notice it. Acknowledging it would be to talk directly to him about this and get what he has to say. But the outcome of how you precede with this friendship should be based on morality not obligation.
