Lol, he lost his job, starting to work again come this March and you expect a vacation? He should leave you now. Nothing is worse than losing your job…

I don’t expect a vacation, I just want him to have more money for groceries and not put me in the spot of paying last minute after his card gets declined multiple times. I feel like I’m paying the price of the pretty lavish lifestyle he had with his ex.

Have a discussion with him about how he can’t live the same lifestyle as before, but don’t shame him for not having money. He’s not a deadbeat; it sounds like he’s trying to hustle to get his finances back.

The ex thing is also kind of meh. I would assume that an adult in the dating pool has exes.
