Delta 9 in store

So recently I was told that head shops can sell delta 9 thc edibles in stores as the delta 8 and such have been banned. I can’t find any actual legal info on it anywhere but a worker told me the dept of agriculture came and said they were allowed to sell d9. Anyone know how to find licensing or anything for this? I’ve found the medicinal licenses and stuff but I’m looking for this one. I want to be able to make and sell the edibles. It’s awesome we are getting closer to freedom with cannabis though! I’m very excited.

I am doing that as well! Mostly I’m interested in the edible thing because I want to be a producer. I’m a chef and make stuff 1000x better than anything people are selling now and just want to broaden the horizons so people can see what you can really do with this awesome plant!

If you want to sell them, I assume you know what's going to he required eventually to sell your own food based products...you servsafe certified? Do you have a sanitized and clean prep kitchen that isn't your home...do you have the ability to produce a gauranteed analasis of your product...

If not, you're just another homie slinging brownies

Yeah that’s why I’m focusing now. I have my llc and business license. I’m working with getting a certified kitchen to use. I am a servsafe manager too. I could technically get my home certified as a safe kitchen but I have a cat so I don’t think they’d let me.

It isn't worth it, and you're never going to be licensed to do it. Makind edibles has a lot more legal restrictions than you're imagining.

Starting July 1 you’ll have to be registered and licensed to sell products (don’t get your hopes up that any licenses will be given to anyone except maybe existing dispensaries who will make products in house). The current Governor has made clear his priority is further criminalizing hemp derived Delta products.

The Governor sent down amendments this week to this bill so details are still being worked out.

Basically, don’t get your hopes up about running a legitimate business that sells cannabis or hemp products that are intended to be intoxicating.

If you do want to move forward go hire a real lawyer who deals with this type of law first. Absolutely don’t listen to advice online.

Edit: It appears for the moment .3% delta 8, 9, and 10 are legal. They're going to be severely restricted with the coming legislation changes.

Well they regularly check head shops now and haven’t been enforcing it then. So I guess they just don’t care now.

My understanding is that currently edibles in store need to be 3% thc by dry weight. Meaning it’s usually made from hemp flower that is super concentrated and extracted.

There is a bill going around and currently in the amendment process that will destroy all of this. The Republicans really just want their donors at Columbia care and Altria to be the only ones allowed to produce cannabis products. If it passes all of this goes away and the only option will be low level mids from a dispensary. So I’d avoid getting too into this until 2025

I’d be weary of anything sold at a gas station/corner store/ pop up. These are all knock off stuff and you have no idea what’s in them. Anyone can buy packaging.

Delta 9 is the main active chemical in standard cannabis. Like if you smoke it, that’s what you’re feeling.

Delta 9 THC-O is a synthetic derivative of delta-9 THC. Just FYI as they are not the same but synthetically derived from.

You can even get THC-A flower now, and once you heat it “like normal” it turns into D9 and is essentially the same thing. It blew my mind….

By real I mean natural. Synthesizing thc isomers from CBD creates byproducts and impurities not found in actual cannabis plants. Little is known about the effects/health issues related to these.
