At around 1:30pm on Tuesday 9/27, a man on a Vespa or something was turning left onto Lombardy from Broad and was hit by a car. I was trying to turn right onto Lombardy when I saw him in the road, and ambulances and fire trucks were arriving just then. He wasn’t moving, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about him since. Does anyone know if he’s okay?

I have been digging. Checked out multiple news sites and a few traffic/crash statistic data aggregator websites and I’ve come up with nothing. I would like to think that means everything is good since it didn’t make the news. “No news is good news”

ID shouldn't affect stats, or reportability.

https://www.treds.virginia.gov/Mapping/Map/CrashesByJurisdiction showed only a single incident at the intersection in July of this year.

I also checked nbc 12's website and cbs 6. Went back through crime stories by date and nothing showed on either site.

This morning for good measure I checked https://www.rva.gov/police/crime-incident-information for the four neighborhoods surrounding the incident location and found a few unrelated things for 9/27.

he was conscious talking and moving his hands and arms but everyone told him to sit still and not move until emts arrive. his helmet saved his brain, but I'm sure he he probably had a few broken bones and internal bleeding. the Vespa wasn't destroyed destroyed so he wasn't hit at a super high speed but certainly hit at a rate of 25-30 which certainly crunched and tossed him around a bit. he was like 20 ft from the moped.

I don't recommend anyone turning left at the light, it's very blind to oncoming from the people oppositely turning left.
