Counterpoint - I had a bangin meal there that absolutely ruled. Everyone else I was with thought it was amazing, too. Looking around the restaurant, everyone seemed really happy.
What kind of instruction did you need? You order stuff and grill it til it’s done or cook it in your hot pot. You increase or decrease the heat for either with the buttons by the burners.
If you needed instructions, wanted more tongs, or couldn’t figure out the burner - why not just ask the staff for help instead of leaving and writing a shitty review?
Hot Pot 757 is delicious, yall. If you have the cooking skills of an eight year old you’ll be just fine. I had never been to a legit hot pot place before, but I didn’t require any “instruction.”

We did ask the staff constantly for more tongs, for instruction and how it all worked and we just got a shrug from the crew there. Don’t be an ass and assume I didn’t do any of those things while there. I’ve spent a lifetime in hospitality and I’m not leaving a bad review for shits and gigs.

I’ve gotten the impression from reviews on here and the RVA good bad and ugly Facebook page that the people that own that place subscribe heartily more to the Asian point of view of customer service, which comes off as rude and abrupt to us westerners.

Fair enough - I appreciate you clarifying and sorry for being snarky.
Sorry you had a bad time there, our meal was great but I guess it can be a mixed bag.
