If her ear is clipped, then she probably got spayed before they decided to keep her, and she's likely indoor/outdoor and knows the neighborhood. Congrats though, she might be thinking of adding you to her family list.

Outdoor cats should really only be wearing breakaway collars and that doesn’t look like one, so I’m going to give the owners the benefit of the doubt that they would have the correct collar on if they expected her to go outside. (Indoor cats should also only wear breakaway collars too though…) A local vet would be able to scan for a microchip, if you take her, call ahead to make sure they have a scanner.

We got a chunky baby, gray with striped tail and a diamond-studded collar. Right ear is clipped. Seems cool with treats and pets. Very vocal, not sure if this is someone’s indoor/outdoor baby or if it escaped from home but figured I’d check either way.
