He was diagnosed in 2014 and started treatment then. I'm sure he had his affairs in order.

sometimes that stuff comes back with a vengeance and with little warning. he was clearly planning on at least two more years in the house. I'm sure he had things well taken care of but he must have thought he had more time.

He's had repeated complications since then. I'm sure he was planning on having more time (aren't we all?) but I'm sure he had some warning, even if the end was sudden.
