Metal mercury has a boiling point of only 640 degrees F (at 1 atm), I wonder if it's found in the atmosphere of some planets?

While I'm no physicist, it's interesting that it's at such high altitudes, given the effects of heat and pressure we usually imagine given our prejudice towards earth or at most our solar system

That sounds pretty high for the only metallic element that is liquid at room temperature.

From what I understand, the spectrometers only see well into the upper atmosphere, the lower atmosphere has too much noise to provide useful data.
