Years & Years is an extraordinary show about a family experiencing the technological changes in the near future.
One particular dramatic line that I like is a 12 year old girl comes out as "trans" to her parents. They are understanding that she is "transgender". "What is that?!" she says shocked,"I am trans as in transhuman". She is human but identifies as a machine.
Through the years she has different augmentations in her pursuit to become a computer, much to the dismay of her parents.
I don't want to spoil the ending, but I highly recommend this one.

I came to say this, this series, which portraits a particular dark singularity future, messed me up really bad

As someone who is both a climate doomer and a singularity enthusiast, that show made my life alright for three days lol. Shit was exhilarating

Years and Years was literally the worst thing I saw on TV that year. We only finished it because me and my wife wanted to see just how bad it could get. We weren't disappointed.

Years and Years was a great show. Highly underrated and very well done in terms of making some plausible future predictions. Better than Extrapolations, imo.
