The consciousness doesn’t exist within the brain, it exists within the ether. Many experiments have been done with people who have been through awful accidents and sustained horrific brain injuries and have still managed to retain their consciousness, albeit in a diminished capacity physically.Every part of the brain had been removed amongst all the patients, and they were all still connected to their consciousness, implying that the consciousness does not reside within the brain.

There was also a study done with a group of mice who were taught how to navigate a maze. Each mouse was then taken away and had different parts of its brain surgically removed. After a recovery period, w each mouse was then put back into the maze, and they were all still able to navigate the maze.

Quantum theory is finally catching up to the fringe theory; Lynne McTaggart’s book, The Field covers a range of cutting edge, peer-reviewed studies that have been done recently that show the existence of an “ether”, a source field of energy that we don’t yet understand, and it is theorised that this energy field is the source of the spirit or consciousness.

Every time we talk about consciousness we have someone speaking the kookoo speak.

And this kookoo idea always uses the gaps of science to fill with nonsense. The gaps of science like quantum theory is more mundane than souls or whatever you're thinking. Energy in science is different from what you're thinking, it simply means the ability to get something moving.
