You're forgetting the compounding nature of these technologies. 20 years max before things get to a point of sophistication that our society is unrecognizable from today. And that's worst case scenario. Realistically, considering what guys like Sam Altman and Demis Hassabis have to say about it, the progress thus far and their projections for the near and long term future for where this tech is going to go- we're 5-10 years away from something resembling AGI coming online.
