You think machines will have more empathy?

I think they will have more availability which is the only thing I expect from my medical care. I don't need to be comforted if I have cancer, I need treatment.

Empathy isn't about comforting, you're thinking of sympathy. Empathy is about understanding what you are going through and treating you accordingly.

For sure, they could have a ton of empathy and infinite patience, and they would never get tired or have a bad day. There's already chatbots that behave like this.

As a patient seeking medical treatment, I respectfully request that the hospital service be improved to provide a seamless and efficient experience. I don’t care about empathy, just do you job the right way.

You had a bad experience and therefore systemic changes are needed? Do you know what the word "anecdote" means? Of course, there are indeed issues with healthcare systems, but generalizing it to "every healthcare worker" is not helpful or accurate. Doctors/nurses aren't the issue, but that doesn't mean they're all 100% good.

I almost died 2 months ago because of doctors not taking me seriously. Just now starting to get better. Anything could be better than what is current. Aside from like no healthcare at all.
