Instead of "moral bloatware" how about if it just followed applicable laws? Or do you think it shouldn't have any constraints at all?

Laws differ by country because morals differ by country. It's a pointless exercise to try and micromanage it. I think expecting AI to bend to various people's morals is futile, it's the humans that will have to adjust to AI, not the other way around.
I always get a chuckle when some school is trying to ban ChatGPT. No, teacher; In the future we will in fact have calculators with us at all times. Deal with it, adapt to it.
