Reading your statement... It dawned on me... what would happen if the aliens view of religion was totally different or even nonexistent to what any religion on earth believes? What would the religious organizations do, boycott our contact?

Those organizations are very confident that 'they' are right and nothing can convince them otherwise -- Especially for something that can NOT be proven.
