I never think about that but sometimes I’ll be finding it hard to sleep and I’ll just start thinking how tiny I am compared to even my planet, how impossibly small my planet is compared to my star, how tiny my star is compared to my galaxy and how my galaxy is barely a speck in my universe. Really humbling universe we’re in

Isn't it?? This is just crazy how short of a time we have been around compared to the age of the universe and/or Earth....another thought that will keep me awake or make me double up on my anxiety medication is that everything was just by chance...

Absolutely. It’s so impressive that there were exactly the right particles interacting in the right ways at the right time millions of times over to create this world

It's so hard for me to comprehend all that happening only here on earth. Here comes into play personal beliefs but I just find it hard to believe that life is so rare in this universe that we happened by chance under the perfect conditions and that it was a 1x thing

Ikr. I might be an atheist but honestly this coincidence almost makes me believe in a god because it’s so impossibly small of a chance that I even existed or was able have this conversation

Same! I'm Catholic but I believe that it doesn't necessarily have to be the Abrahamic God that could of created our existence. That same description of "God" can be attributed to anything greater than us. That's just my personal belief. I don't knock on anyone's beliefs because when it comes down to discussing that topic, there is never going to be "concrete proof"...my ideology is no more verifiable than yours & I respect that. Always nice to have a civil debate about that but people get too heated I notice. My friend is agnostic and we use to discuss things back and forth pleasantly.
