Forgive me, but what's the punchline? I understand it was insensitive and inappropriate in the context, and probably trashy in general, but now I'm deathly curious

Forgive me OP, but for the sake of this thread, i'm gonna just post the answer;

>!"Blue. One blew this way, one blew that way."!<

Edit: It's pretty fucked up people find humor in such a tragedy.

I mean, it's in Florida. And Florida is effed up. Which sucks cause the Kennedy is one of the most awesome places I've been.

"hurr durr Florida bad" - reddit

How the fuck do you know the people were even from Florida?

Edit: the responses below are just further proof that this website is a collection of the biggest morons on the internet. People who literally can't wrap their heads around the fact that you don't have to be from Florida to visit KSC.

And no, I'm not from Florida, nor do I live there.

Not much of a thinker are ya? Must be from Florida.

Nope, born and raised and still live in a blue state. But I'd probably save a bunch of money in taxes if I lived in Florida. Too hot for me though.

KSC being in FL doesn't mean visitors are from FL.

You might be surprised to find that most of the people that visit tourist attractions are, in fact, tourists (i.e. not locals).

The fact that you think that this is a clever comment is a damning revelation of your intelligence, or lack thereof.

Bro, Reddit is a psyops platform, don’t get too invested. Just take your dopamine hit and keep scrollin’ lol

Literally not an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. But nice attempt at sounding sophisticated.

At this point most of the people living in Florida weren’t from here originally, especially on the older side. Florida is one of those states where like every other car you pass is someone from out of state just visiting, same as any other major tourist destination and then a lot of them just stay here.

That has to be a re-used punchline from another joke. Psycho thing to say in the actual space museum.

I remember hearing that joke in school within days of the accident.

We need to formulate, as a culture, a universal response to strangers who walk up to us in public and say terribly inappropriate things.

I mean, more G-rated than "F***k off, pig."

if you haven't read Feynman's paper on Challenger, I highly recommend it. I feel the paper is written for anyone to read and understand the issues he found while investigating the disaster. For me, I found the paper enlightening and his logic can be applied to everyday life issues.
